Big J - 22" is for pigtail crimping
T Style - 24" is for Z crimping
Big J crimper requires fewer twists overall to get the wires tight
Big J can also be used for straightening trees in wire baskets once lowered into the ground, by hooking one of the wires and pulling to straighten
T style keeps the crimps closer to the root ball
